High Lane Village is historically a Cheshire village that now resides on the outskirts of Stockport. The village is popular amongst walkers, hikers and cyclists as it has access to the Macclesfield Canal, Middlewood Way and Lyme Park. High Lane has a wide range of eateries and village pubs that welcome the local community as well as visitors.

Lyme Park
10 minutes walk from High Lane and you can be in the National Trust's Lyme Park made famous by the BBC Production Pride of Predudice, with over 1000 acres of surrounded by gardens, moorland and deer park. For more information see: Lyme Park
Middlewood Way
Sensitively reclaimed from a former railway line to provide a natural attraction for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and nature lovers. An 11 mile (16km), traffic-free greenway from Macclesfield to Marple on the Peak Park fringe with car parking, toilets and information points, with fine views over the Cheshire Plain to the west. Macclesfield Canal
The Macclesfield Canal opened in 1831 to work as a trade waterway for the local mills, quarries and potteries. The canal cost £320,000 to build and spans around 27 miles.
